Adore Yoga founder, Nikola Ellis, named as Vice President of Yoga Australia, Australasia's Peak Body for Yoga.

Nikola EllisAre you a member of Yoga Australia? I've been a proud member for more than a decade and I've been blown away this year by how much Yoga Australia and its members have achieved.

I've marvelled at the way staff, volunteers and members have pulled together to support each other through the COVID-19 pandemic. The quality of online events and communications has been extraordinary and I've heard so many teachers in the community express their delight and gratitude at how the team at Yoga Australia have stepped up to serve members.

This is a very auspicious time indeed to step into the role of Vice President. I am honoured to serve the Australian yoga community and am both delighted and grateful to be moving into the Vice President role at a time when Yoga Australia is offering more value than ever to members. From new courses on building your yoga business through to community events and dedicated working groups on topics that make a big difference to the yoga community such as training and education standards, sustainability and business management.

I want to acknowledge and thank the outgoing VP, Clare Holloway. Clare has worked tirelessly in support of Yoga Australia and its members. While she will be greatly missed in the VP role, I am extremely pleased to report that she will continue to contribute to the organisation as a board member and through the important work she is doing in her roles with the RAP Working Group and the new Sustainability and Social Responsibility Working Group. Clare's contributions are invaluable and Yoga Australia is all the richer for her knowledge, experience and generosity.

I'm looking forward to working closely with staff, volunteers and members of this wonderful organisation to support yoga teachers and promote the value of yoga right across Australia and beyond. If you're not already a member, come and join us - there are great things ahead!

Yours in Yoga,

Nikola Ellis, Vice President Yoga Australia
